General

  • These terms and conditions, the "Terms," apply to the use of the website IHateCleaning.ae, the "Website,” and the services provided by Homejoy Building Cleaning Services, operating as “IHateCleaning.ae,” booked through the Website, WhatsApp, email, or phone call.
  • By using the website or the services provided by IHateCleaning.ae, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Website, or the services we provide. IHateCleaning.ae reserves the right to make amendments to these terms and conditions without giving prior notice.

Services

  • IHateCleaning.ae provides residential and commercial cleaning services to customers. Our services include, but are not limited to, standard cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in and move-out cleaning, outdoor cleaning, post-construction cleaning, and carpet and upholstery cleaning. We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue services at any time without notice. To provide you with the best possible service, please ensure that your home or workspace is fully accessible.
  • If you plan on being at home or onsite during a scheduled clean, please ensure you are prepared to provide the cleaner with timely access to your home or workspace. If you are not going to be at home or onsite during a scheduled clean, please ensure that you arrange a method to access your space when you initially schedule your clean with us. Additionally, please note, cleaners follow a set order to guarantee efficiency and completeness when completing cleans. If you want them to clean specific areas first, or in a different sequence, it will take more time. We are willing to provide this service upon request, but you must notify us before the cleaning so we can plan for the extra time.
  • All special requests are subject to additional fees. Remove clutter and prepare your property for cleaning. Cleaners will be able to provide more efficient, better-quality cleaning if clutter is removed from the areas of your home that you want cleaned. For example, countertops, desks, or other surfaces should be de-cluttered before your scheduled clean.
  • Please provide us with feedback. We are always looking for ways to better serve our customers at IHateCleaning.ae, so we encourage our customers to provide us with feedback about the services they received. Extra Work

  • Additional fees may apply if cleaners require more time to complete scheduled cleans. For example, this could occur if your home has not been adequately prepared for a scheduled clean, or if a job is underestimated due to the condition of your home.
  • Please note, cleaners are not equipped to clean fire damage, bug infestations, bodily fluids, or extensive grease.
  • If our cleaners do not feel safe in your home or environment during a scheduled clean, they will leave the property.

Equipment and Supplies

  • Our cleaners are equipped with the necessary equipment and supplies to complete their cleaning tasks. However, if you have any specific equipment or products that you want used on your property, please let us know in advance so we can try to accommodate your request.
  • Unless there are specific, tough stains that we need limited quantities of specialised materials for, we always use all natural and ecofriendly cleaning materials. That’s why we may refuse to expose our cleaners to more aggressive cleaning materials.

Breakage and Damages

Our cleaners will take great care to avoid breaking items during our service, but accidents can happen. It is for this reason that we have the following rules:

  • The limit of our liability extends only up to the equivalent value of the service provided on that day.
  • If we are asked to clean inside cabinets, start laundry, wash dishes, clean small computer equipment, antiques or collections, or to use your equipment (e.g. vacuum), you agree to hold harmless and release from liability IHateCleaning.ae and any of our employees for any damage or breakages.
  • Damage must be reported to our office staff by WhatsApp, phone, or email within 24 hours of service, or IHateCleaning.ae may not be held liable.
  • We ask that customers remove or secure any valuable or fragile items before the service. For example, this may include but is not limited to cash, jewellery, special clothing, or other items of actual or sentimental value.
  • We cannot be held responsible for damage caused by general wear and tear, faulty or improper installation, or lack of maintenance.
  • IHateCleaning.is not responsible for any damages that may occur after the cleaners have left the premises.

Appointments and Cancellations

  • Appointments for our services can be booked on our website or over the phone, by email, or WhatsApp. Please note that appointment slots are based on current availability, and we maintain the discretion to reject or reschedule bookings as necessary. Once your appointment has been arranged, we will confirm the date and time through email, SMS, WhatsApp, or a phone call.
  • Full advance payment is required to confirm your booking.
  • To cancel or change your appointment, please notify us no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
  • Failure to give less than 24 hours’ notice or to provide access to the premises for cleaning, will result in a 100% cancellation charge.
  • For regular recurring clients, if the cancellation happens on the same day as the scheduled appointment, you will be charged 50% of the value of the cleaning charge.
  • All cancellation charges must be settled in full before your next booking.

Refunds

  • We do not provide any refunds for services that have been completed. However, if you are not satisfied with the quality of the service, we ask that you contact us within 24 hours of receiving the service.
  • We will review your complaint and may dispatch a cleaner free of charge to reclean or touch up the area in question.

Indemnification

  • You agree to indemnify and hold IHateCleaning.ae, harmless from any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third-party, due to or arising out of your use of the Website or the services provided by IHateCleaning.ae, in violation of these Terms or in violation of any law or the rights of any third-party.

Governing Law

  • These Terms and your use of the Website, WhatsApp, phone calls and the services provided by IHateCleaning.ae shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.​

Dispute Resolution

  • Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Website or the services provided by IHateCleaning.ae shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of United Arab Emirates

Non-Solicitation of Employees

  • When entering into an agreement for services with IHateCleaning.ae you agree not to solicit for hire any staff member introduced to you by IHateCleaning.ae, now or in the future, either for fulltime work, or part-time work on their rest days or leave days.
  • If we find that our cleaners have worked directly for you on a part-time or freelance basis, we will cancel all future bookings with you, the cleaner’s benefits will be frozen for at least three months, and they risk immediate termination.
  • We spend a great deal of time and other resources to find, interview, check references and backgrounds, and train our cleaners. When hired, each cleaner signs an agreement barring them from performing any services for any of our past or present customers for at least six months from their last day of working with IHateCleaning.ae.
  • However, if you do wish to employ a staff member directly, please discuss this matter directly with our office.
  • If you are found to have solicited one of our staff without our knowledge, our referral and training fee will be AED 10,000 per hired employee, plus any legal or court fees and visa costs.

Children and Pets

  • For safety reasons, please make sure that children are supervised while we are cleaning your home.
  • We love animals. However, if pets are aggressive, we ask that you have them kennelled, or in a room that we are not cleaning, or outside, when we arrive. IHateCleaning.ae and its staff reserves the right to leave the premises if a pet exhibits aggressive behaviour and you will be charged the full price of your cleaning. IHateCleaning.ae will not be held responsible for the behaviour of any pet(s) while the cleaning service is being performed.

Cost Estimates

  • Estimates are given based on the information you provide us as a potential customer.
  • Should the conditions be dirtier or more cluttered than indicated, or the space is larger, we do not guarantee we can complete the job in the time quoted. You will be given a choice to increase the length of your booking or have us leave the job unfinished.
  • If you request changes to your service after receiving your original estimate, a new estimate may be required, and additional charges will apply.
  • We may decline the job if our crew arrives at the job and discovers that it requires a level of cleaning that we are not able to provide. In this instance, we will contact you and there will not be a charge.

Protecting our Crews

  • Unless deep-cleaning teams have been specifically booked and advised in advance, and bring our ladders and professional equipment with them, our cleaners are unable to climb on ladders any higher than a two-step ladder to perform their work and are unable to move heavy objects or furniture.
  • Our staff my not handle any type of animal or human waste, this includes vomit, blood, or body waste.
  • Due to cross-contamination issues, we are unable to clean in areas or homes with live infestations of maggots, fleas, roaches, bedbugs, etc., until they are removed.
  • We may not be able to remove excess mould or mildew inside or outside of the shower.
  • We ask that you refrain from smoking cigarettes or vaping inside of the property when our cleaners are present.

Rate Adjustments

  • To meet your needs and to ensure your full satisfaction, IHateCleaning.ae reserves the right to reevaluate and adjust its rates at any time.

Photos and Videos

  • We take before and after photos and videos of our work in your home or workspace. These pictures are used for training, proof of performance, as well as for marketing. If you do not want pictures taken of work areas in your home, please notify us when you schedule your cleaning.

Entire Agreement

  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and IHateCleaning.ae regarding the use of the Website and the services provided by IHateCleaning.ae
